Last night I had my first injection of Menopur and I must say it was all fine.
I made an error straight away by not tapping the phial to release all of the water but its fine cos you get loads of water phials. I managed to mix everything up on a lap tray, it honestly looked like one of those chemistry sets you get as a child, from Argos, but the needles were real, and very sharp.
I 'cooked up' my injection and it went straight into my thigh, no problems, in fact the Suprecur hurt more and has left another bruise on the other leg. Oh yes, I still have to carry on with that stuff aswell.
It was funny though cos I was expecting to feel something straight away, or at least overnight but nothing, not even a hint of pain or discomfort. I did have funny dream though that cauliflower was growing where my ovaries should be, and it was getting bigger and bigger and you could see it through my stretched, see-through stomach. It was like something out of an Alien film but with vegetables. Very odd, and horrific at the time but hilarious to think about now - cauliflower ovaries!
Anyway, I will inject again tonight and I am due to go back to the Clinic on Monday 29th at 8am (groan) for a scan and blood test (double groan) I will blog agai if I have anything to tell you before then.
