The dog days are definitely over

Ok so its Friday afternoon and I had an interview this morning at the nature reserve. I only just made it in time though, I had convinced myself it would only take 25 mins to get there as the other one took 30 mins and was further away. I set off at 9.45 and arrived bang on 10.15 which was only achieved by breaking the speed limit on the motorway for most of the journey. So I have learnt to leave more time and aim to arrive 10 mins early.

Anyway the interview was great, a nice American lady and a young man with a Jedward style pointy fringe sat opposite and asked me questions. Only one question was along the lines of 'So descibe a time when.....' and the rest was about the company and what I had done before. I was chatty, passionate, interesting, driven, dynamic, warm,(in the approachable sense - not temperature) and had a good answer for everything but without being a smart arse. Absolutely perfect interview until I did something a bit out of the ordinary.... After they had finished answering all of my questions and told me I would hear fro them on Monday I stood up to leave, yes thats right, before they had told me the interview had finished or even made a movement to stand up I had left my chair, was picking up my bag and thanking them for their time. I continued to shake their hands and make for the door before they had a chance to stop me or say anything, they must have assumed I had another interview to go to or an important toilet break but I didnt I just thought the interview had reached a natural conclusion and the time was right to leave. It didnt occur to me until I was half way home that it was a rude thing to do.

God I hope they dont hold that against me.

5pm

Ha ha, they've just rung and offered me the job, they loved me!

Cool, this is the job I really wanted so I will accept it on Monday (they gave me the weekend to decide) Yippee!

And guess whats playing on the radio - good old Florence
