more interviews

Hello, it really is Wed 3/3 and its nice to finally catch up and log in real time for a change.

So were are we then

I am now 34, having had my birthday at the weekend. I am still looking old but not feeling it as much. I am happier than my last post as the pressure to find work has now gone. It got one degree warmer yesterday and I spent the afternoon in the garden cutting back trees and ripping stuff out of the ground accompanied by bird song and 'The Dog Days are Over by Florence and the Machine' going round and round in my head.

Today I am having a telephone interview for the same company I have had the job offer from but its a higher role for more money, its also customer facing rather than phone work and includes some travel to local job centres to meet people out of work. This job seems better as I can talk to people face to face which is always easier than on the phone and they are usually less abusive in person. It also has more responsibilities though and lots of skills to learn. The interview is in 3 hours so I will be making notes soon of how wonderful I am (worked last time)

Yesterday I also got invited to an interview on Friday. This job is on the phone mostly but its working for a company that protect the environment and they are based at a wildlife sanctuary. Now this is the one that I am most excited about as it should be a really rewarding job and the lunch time walks should be fab. I will of course let you all know how it goes.

6pm
Well the phone interview was horrific, just as bad as the last one but this time I was interrogated in my own living room for a change. The questions were horrid and testing even though I had been preparing scenarios for the last 3 hours she still asked me things I didnt have an answer for so a little blagging was used and because I am a convincing liar I managed to pull it off. The funny thing was the interviewer, Amy, was so boring and uninterested I thought, during a long pause, that she had nodded off, not what I expected when telling her about a time I had been dynamic and persuasive at work. The whole torture lasted 30 mins, 5 of which I was unloading all my questions onto her about the role, many of which she couldnt even answer and kept asking her (awake and more interesting) collegue.

Anyway I have just had an email telling me I have passed the telephone interview and now need to complete an online personality test. I would love to see the outcome of Amy's personality test, I would give her a zero!
