Kettle Chips on offer at Tesco - 2 bags for £2 - BARGAIN
Most people have gone back to work today, I have not because I was expecting to be recovering from yesterdays egg collection, instead I find myself in Tescos on a mission to bulk buy heavy things while I can still carry them.
Its funny what you can do when you know pregnancy might be just days away. For the last few days/weekends I have been guzzling soft cheeses like brie and camembert as I know I cant have these soon. Luckily I'm not a fan of pate or food containing raw eggs, or alcohol for that matter because it doesn't agree with me even when not pregnant.
But its the heavy lifting and carrying rule that will affect me the most as we are just getting into the renovations on our house and we both like drinking lots of cordial (heavy part of the weekly shop) So today, after a little lie in and doing the laundry I decided to shop for things I might need to keep in stock for the next few months. We now have plenty of cordial, cat litter, cat food, toilet rolls, toothpaste, chips, tea bags, sugar, bacon, crisps, biscuits, wash up liquid etc etc I already have an impressing array of jars of sauces and tins of things so if a blizzard hits again we could be snowed in for at least 3 weeks before we had to worry about what was for tea.
Anyway I am coming to a point here which is that I completely forgot to tell you about how tired I am getting - especially in the last week. Now this is purely down to the medication and not the news about my Dad as I do sleep really well at night.
Shopping today was tiring and slightly painful, in fact other shoppers must have thought I was already pregnant as I was struggling with the trolley, gasping and clutching my stomach while trying to drive around the end of every bloody aisle. Oddly I enjoyed it, the similar feelings to being pregnant, not the trolley steering, you see my stomach is protruding more than usual and my jeans no longer need a belt to keep them up. My boobs are finally filling my cups and I have loosened my bra a little around the back. So I imagine this is what it feels like to be pregnant - only without the nausea.
Its lucky really that I am not at work this week as it would be hard to stay awake on the drive home. I also find that the early trips to the clinic are wiping me out for the rest of the day. On Friday and Monday I had a nap in the afternoon for a few hours and today, after my 'Big Shop' I found that I was shattered and if I wasnt typing this then I would probably be nodding off by now.
Talking of which, I think I will have a little nap before hubby gets home from work x
