It never rains, it pours

Tues 20 April

Easter egg seems very much at home at the moment and we are both very happy, shame thats not allowed to last for long.

Dont worry, easter egg is fine, its hubby that now has problems.

Now you will remember me saying that we needed IVF because of a hubby problem, well hubby has been having regular scans down there and this morning he went for the results of his latest. He was expecting them to tell him nothing had changed and to come back next year as usual but they didnt. This time they told him things had been changing in his left testicle, that there was shadowing on the scan and they want to remove it - quickly.

Well that can mean only one thing - Cancer! They suspect Cancer!

Hubby was stunned and very concerned, and so was I. Its only been a few weeks since my Dad was told his cancer had spread and that he has 6 months to live and now hubby could go through a similar ordeal. So was I positive and reassuring about it all? .......no, because I dont feel positive about cancer at the moment, to me it is a killer and it takes family members away prematurely, there is nothing positive I can say about it. But I realised, after putting the phone down from hubby that I need to be positive with him at the moment because he is scared.

So in order to rectify the situation I called H and explained all to her. She knows hubbys past medical history and was nothing but positive and supportive, just what hubby needed. She agreed to call him for a chat.

When I got home hubby was quiet. We hugged but he wasnt in a chatty mood. He spent most of the night complaining of headache and we both went to bed early. 'They're gonna chop one of my balls off' is all he had to say before he turned over to go to sleep.

Now how can I genuinely sympathise with that? Its not as if Ive got a pair? damn this is going to be hard.
