Well those thermals have come in handy. What a winter to move into a house with no heating. Yes weve got a romantic open fire in the living room but what about the rest of the place? Its 8 degrees in most rooms and thats during the day!
We have sealed polythene across the windows to keep the cold out. This does mean that we cant see out of them now. The conservatory windows ice up on the inside.
Our duvet and furry overblanket are wet in the morning, no I havent started wetting the bed, its condensation from our hot bodies.
We sleep in hats, pajamas, socks and I also wear fingerless gloves. During the day I wear thermals, 2 pairs of socks, jeans, jumper, extra fleece, hat, scarf and gloves. Gloves are my friends, my hands are only out ofgloves when Im in the bath. I currently have 5 pairs for different functions. My gripper gloves and fingerless get worn the most. This means I now have wonderful fingernails but I never see them.
I have never felt so cold in all my life. Its almost the same temperature inside than outside. Roll on Spring!!
